Styles are often overlooked or "taken for granted" - after all, all you need to do is specify the colour and font and apply it to an object type on the Palette.
But the typical way of creating a Style (and this is how the Casewise supplied models do it) is to give a Style the name of an Object Type, so for example we assume that a "Process" will always use the "Process" style.
But what if you want Processes to be a different colour depending on the type of diagram they are on? What about the use of Styles in Shape Regions?
Based on a real world client assignment, this document describes a different way to naming and managing your Styles library
